Your Contributions

John Baird, a marine artist from Ireland, has contributed some excellent artwork of Scottish fishing boats, including this drawing of Steam Drifter 'Nellie Gardiner' BF 74

Follow the building of a working model of the steam drifter BCK 209 Jeannie McIntosh, by model builder Ian McIntosh from Barrow, Furness, South Cumbria.

September 2007 Jeannie McIntosh has just had her first sea trials.

This lovely clear old photograph shows BCK 144 Coulardbank coming into Wick Harbour. It was shared by Katrina Wright - the photographer was her great grandfather Jim Wright senior, from Stronsay, Orkneys, who was harbourmaster at Wick at the time.

Fishing Families

The Jappy fishing family from Buckie & an oil painting of a steam drifter believed to be BCK 62 & at one time owned by Joseph Jappy.

This is one of my families images. Probably taken just before or after WW1. The place is unknown, but as the 2nd from left at front is 'Lizzie' Flett from Findochty, Buckie, Scotland, it would be a fair bet that the others are also Findochty folk.
Can you help?
