DRIFTER LAUNCHED

On Saturday forenoon a finely modelled wooden steam drifter was launched from the yard of W.R. McIntosh, Ianstown, for Messr's J. & A. Barron, Nairn.
The vessel was named the Holme Rose by Miss Barron, daughter of one of the owners, & she was presented by the builder with a gold watch & chain.
After the launch was successfully carried out, refreshments were served to a company in the yard. The dimensions of the new vessel are as follows - length 85', breadth 18'9", depth 9'6". She was towed to Cluny Harbour by the drifter Magnet, & yesterday she was towed by a tug to Aberdeen to have triple expansion engines fitted by Messr's Lewis & sons.
