DRIFTER LAUNCHED

There was launched on Tuesday from the yard of Messr's W.R. McIntosh & Son, Ianstown, Buckie, a finely modelled new steam drifter named the Silverscale BF 343. The vessel was built to the order of Mr John Mackay, MacDuff, & the naming ceremony was performed by Miss Jeannie Mackay, daughter of the owner.
The vessel took the water beautifully, & was taken to Cluny Harbour to be fitted out previous to being taken to Aberdeen where the machinery will be fitted in by Messr's John Lewis & Sons. The dimensions of the new vessel are length 85', breadth 18'6", depth 9'6".
